These terms apply to the purchase and use of The Independent Living Handbook: A Room-by-Room Guide to a Safer, Easier Home After 60 ("the Handbook") sold by Stay Independent 60+.

Digital product

The Handbook is a downloadable PDF. No physical item is shipped. Payment and delivery are handled by Hotmart, and Hotmart's terms also apply to your purchase.

License

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to read the Handbook and print its worksheets for your own household. You may not resell, share publicly, or redistribute the Handbook or its printables.

Educational information only

The Handbook provides general educational information. It does not replace personalized medical advice, professional home safety assessments, or qualified installation services. Consult a doctor, occupational therapist, or licensed contractor for advice about your specific situation. Any changes you make to your home are your own decision and responsibility.

No guarantee of outcomes

We do not guarantee that using the Handbook will prevent falls, injuries, or accidents, or that it will allow any person to remain independent.

Third-party references

The Handbook refers to public information from organizations such as the National Institute on Aging, CDC, Ready.gov/FEMA, the U.S. Fire Administration and the Administration for Community Living. These organizations have not reviewed or endorsed the Handbook.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stay Independent 60+ is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Handbook. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.
